Tax Forms!? #Redundancy

Taxes have to be filed. Preparing tax forms itself is a gigantic task. Really!? The same information needs to be entered in multiple forms even when it is linked to one ID (SSN). This is so archaic. Idea case - Since all my income is recorded through my SSN, the relevant taxes are automatically calculated and applied at the end of the year. Every thing that could affect my taxes already needs me to have my SSN linked to it, so those things ( deductions / expenses) are also automatically taken into consideration. No hassles! Filing taxes and all the paper work sounds like Stone age!
